Otteroo Otter-what?

This is not meant to be a substitute life-saving device, at all times the child must be under supervision of a capable adult.

Before we dive into this blog, today's share is really a bunch of facts to highlight the product. Our next share will be more about using this. But as with anything, we first must understand the product to be able to share the fun stuff!

Lumi is a Class 1 medical device, a pediatric therapy tool for a wide range of conditions. The uses range from bath time play to treating conditions such as Spina Bifida, TBI, Cerebral Palsy and other developmental delays.

There are two sizes currently available for this product, the MINI for 6-18lbs and the LUMI for 9-35lbs. We plan to incorporate the use of these two models into our clinic and work with creating some protocols to continue with biomechanics and performance enhancement. We are super excited to share our reviews and studies with this product!

The first part we will address tomorrow is transitioning infant from pediatric baths to utilizing the full tub.

Did you know? In the United States:

  • More children ages 1–4 die from drowning than any other cause of death except birth defects.

  • For children ages 1–14, drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury death after motor vehicle crashes.
